
Katie Cole
About
Katie Cole received her DNP from Georgia State University in 2021, her MNA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in 2011, and her BSN from Augusta University in 2006. Dr. Cole is currently in the NLN Simulation Leadership Program and serving as director on the GANA Board. She is a graduate of the Woodruff Health Educators Teaching Fellowship and obtained her certification as a simulation healthcare educator in 2022. She joined the Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing Nurse Anesthesia Program faculty in 2019 and serves as the program’s simulation coordinator. Katie has participated in several committees within the NBCRNA, including NCE Item Writing and Professional Practice Analysis. Her scholarship focuses primarily on simulation development and aligning teaching methodologies with best practices to improve learning outcomes. In addition, she has worked as a CRNA in various clinical settings in the Atlanta area, including Emory, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Northside Hospital.
